Home Office Essentials

September 4, 2020 in Home & LIfestyle
Multi Color Paper Mate Felt Tip Pens

I always loved back-to-school shopping as a kid. Picking out colorful notebooks, pencils and folders just got me so excited for the new school year. As an adult, I still get this same feeling every September. Now that I’m working from home, I thought it would be fun to do some grown-up “back-to-school shopping” of my own (or #WFH shopping, rather)! I picked up a few new home office essentials for fall and am also in the process of giving my little office corner a bit of a refresh.

If you are in the market for some fun new items for your home office this season, look no further! I rounded up all of my favorites below. These items have made my #wfh life oh-so much easier!

Why should kids have all the fun?! šŸ˜‰

Home Office Essentials

VIVO Adjustable Standing Desk: I bought this standing desk at the beginning of lockdown and HIGHLY recommend it! It’s quite simple to set up and there is no assembly required. All you have to do is place it on top of your existing desk (just make sure the table/desk your putting it on are the same or larger width/depth!). You can easily switch back and forth between sitting or standing while working. That’s what I love about it! It gives me lots of flexibility. I have to say, I feel a lot more energized when I am standing and working as well. I usually don’t stand and work for more than stints of two hours. I’ve found that bursts of one or two hours works best for me. As a side note, I find myself standing on calls a lot.

Laptop Stand: This was another home office must-have I bought earlier this year. It sets your laptop at an angle so that you are viewing the screen at eye level rather than hunching over trying to see the screen. I really like it and I do feel that it offers the optimal eye-level positioning, helping me avoid neck strain.

Pink Wireless Keyboard and Mouse: I am obsessed with this wireless keyboard and mouse! Not only are they my favorite color – pink – but they are super lightweight, sleek and comfortable to operate. I love that they’re wireless too, so that I don’t have to see cords everywhere.

Red Frame Blue Light Blocking Glasses: I bought these towards the beginning of quarantine. They are super cute and affordable, and I love the bright red color. It’s a fun shade and adds a nice pop of color.

“Do More of What Makes You Sparkle” Notebook: I love this notebook! I have found so many adorable journals and notebooks like this on Amazon over the years, and this is one of my favorites. The saying just gets me! “Do More of What Makes You Sparkle.” I love to have a cute and inspiring journal to take notes and write my to-do lists in.

Multi Colored Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens: I lovvvvve writing with felt tip pens. They just have such a nice look and feel to them. Plus, these ones are extra fun because they come in a bunch of different bright and colorful shades!

Mophie Wireless Charge Pad: This charging pad is great for my iPhone X, which needs all the power it can get these days between all of the FaceTimes, texting, emails and social media. It’s nice to be able to set this on or near a desk and just lay your phone down on it and then just pick it up when you need it, without having to deal with plugging/unplugging a charger.

NespressoĀ® by BrevilleĀ® Essenza Mini Espresso Maker Bundle with Aeroccino Frother in White: This is one of my newest home office purchases! I am so excited about this. I have been thinking about getting a Nespresso for years, but never did, because I’ve been content with my traditional drip coffeemaker. Now that I’m spending a LOT more time at home though, I realized it would be nice to have some espresso beverages too and finally caved and got a Nespresso. I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee while working from home lately, so am pretty excited to use this to make espresso, lattes and iced lattes! Oh, and I’m obsessed with the white color of it too, plus it’s mini so it fits perfectly in my tiny NYC kitchen.

Trader Joe’s run! šŸ›’ This time I wised up and Trader Joe’s run! šŸ›’ This time I wised up and got two bags of riced cauliflower and butternut squash risotto instead of just one. šŸ¤— Also snagged my favorite fall tea, their harvest blend. If you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend. It’s decaf and has the most amazing fall flavor that kind of reminds me of apple cider in a way. What has been your favorite TJ’s discovery lately?!

One of the reasons I love TJ’s pumpkin o’s šŸŽƒ so much is because they are PACKED with the most amazing, natural-tasting pumpkin flavor. I feel like it’s not an easy flavor to recreate in different products but TJ’s has it down. I like to enjoy the o’s in a ton of different ways:

• With vanilla almond milk (super tasty because the flavor soaks into the almond milk, giving you the most amazing ā€˜cereal milk’ to finish at the end)
• As a smoothie topping
• In a DIY trail mix with raw almonds and pumpkin seeds
Hello #firstdayoffall. šŸ˜šŸ‚ This was the view Hello #firstdayoffall. šŸ˜šŸ‚ This was the view from the Catskills last weekend where I stayed in Hunter, NY. I was so excited to see the leaves starting to change colors up there already. I brought my Nespresso with us to our Airbnb and made these oat milk lattes every morning. ā˜•ļø So good! I can’t wait to make a pumpkin version of these this fall.
